Home Log in or Register. Current Model? Discontinued 3 more 3 berth tents There are some things I like about it -it's a nice roomy tent, big windows, and mostly easy to put up. The build quality is good, bar one issue see below.
The sloping front door, as noted, is tricky in wet weather as the rain does get in when you open it. The main problem I found was that it was impossible to get the tent straight on the central pole - this resulted in not being able to pitch it nice and square. I am not sure if this a flaw with my pitching technique, this particular tent, or the design in general. Despite emailing the online shop and Outwell, I have not had a reply! I didn't have any problems with the front poles though.
Have now purchased a Quechua family seconds 4. I really wanted to love this tent, it would be great in warm dry weather, but In rainy conditions it is tricky to get in and out and keep the inside dry. By: Stubberz Reason: I own ed one Made in: Rating: Bought from Go as a special offer with carpet and footprint because we needed a full height tent to use with the Royal Enfield and trailer. Delighted with the tent and the space for two mature adults.
Used when travelling between Brittany and UK, and also on motorcycle rallies. Can now take all the equipment needed for a camping break and have plenty of space. Only 9 out of 10 because Outwell do not make a canopy for this model.
When we contacted them their helpful customer service said that they had no plans to produce one but they had heard that the Vango Calisto might fit but could not really comment because it was not their product. Not yet used but colour is a close match!
